Sara Muender (gallery owner & artist in residence)
In the summer of 2001, after years of exhibiting her work in a variety of local galleries and co-ops, Sara opened her own commercial gallery in the resort community of Boulder Junction, Wisconsin.
Moondeer & Friends Gallery is a combination of contemporary fine art and craft, European, Oriental and American antiques and artifacts, and professional custom framing. Here Sara and her friend and partner, Susan Miller-Crane, are finally able to represent not only themselves but over 150 other regional artists and associates in a unique and eclectic fashion. Please stop in for a visit the next time you're in the North Woods.
Susan Miller-Crane (owner, Main Street Framing, located within the gallery)
A professional custom frame service is available at the gallery. “Main Street Framing" is owned and operated by Susan Miller-Crane, who specializes in custom-order hand-made frames such as birch bark, barn wood and twig which can be made to order at very reasonable prices. She also works with nationally-recognized frame companies Larson-Juhl, Vicki Schober and Evald among others.
Memorial Day through December:
Sunday from 11:00 – 4:00
January, February, March, April, early May: By appointment only
Appointments can be made year round by texting or telephoning:
Work can be brought into the gallery for framing at any time, and assistance will be available in choosing matting and framing combinations, but quotes are made by Susan only. It is usually best to work with Susan personally if at all possible.
